Quite apart from my interest in photography and of the more imaginative and unusual views and objects, I have had decades of delight in making things, especially out of wood.

In recent times I have gone back to lathe turning using a machine I bought over 40 years ago. Actually getting suitably dry wood for this hobby is a constant problem, but one which I hope will be overcome soon as I’ve put aside chunks of wood from various sources and developed a new drying area. This should make things a lot easier from late 2026 and thereafter.
